К участию в турнире Федерацией бокса отобраны двадцать четыре молодых боксёра из Кишинёва, Тирасполя, Бендер, Хынчешт, Бельц, Кагула и Гримэнкэуц. Победителями и кандидатами для участия в Чемпионате Европы по весовым категориям стали: 56 кг.- Вакула Виктор (Тирасполь), 60 кг. и 69 кг. - братья Дорин и Николай Букша из Хынчешт, 64кг. и 75 кг. – кишинёвцы Александр Параскив и Андрей Време, 81 кг. и 91 кг. – Дмитрий Кощуг и Андрей Заплитный из Гримэнкэуц.

Окончательный состав сборной страны будет сформирован после подготовительных учебно-тренировочных сборов и итогов участия боксёров в Международном турнире «Памяти Заслуженного тренера Республики Молдова Павла Лущевского», который пройдёт с 21 по 23 февраля в Гримэнкэуцах с участием гостей из Италии, Румынии, Белоруссии, Украины и Молдовы.
